The objective of this training is to provide every New York State mandated reporter with knowledge and skills to be able to: 1) Effectively report child abuse or maltreatment/neglect to the NYS Child Abuse and Maltreatment Register 2) Evaluate situations to determine where there is reasonable cause to suspect child abuse or maltreatment 3) Identify the physical and behavioral indicators commonly associated with child abuse.  Training is based on the syllabus developed by the New York State Education Department.  This training meets New York State professional licensing requirement.
