June 9, 2006 -- Regional Training Center graduates youth from Security, Bank Teller and Nurses Aide training programs

On Friday, June 9, 2006 Covenant House New York’s (CHNY) Regional Training Center (RTC) celebrated its annual training programs graduation. At this ceremony, three of Covenant House New York’s skilled training courses were highlighted (Security training, Bank Tellers training, and Nurse’s Aid training). More than two dozen graduates received special recognition for individual accomplishments. During the graduation, Bruce J. Henry, Executive Director of CHNY, spoke to the youth about their accomplishments, success and opportunities. “Standing here today forces me to realize that you are real. Each time I speak about our youth, I mention the great success of our training programs and know I have more to talk about with your success” stated Mr. Henry. This year’s keynote speaker, Georgia Boothe (Associate Executive Director, CHNY), spoke to the youth about their future and how many youth prior had the ability to move on with their lives after graduating for one of the many training programs. We would like to thank everyone in attendance and give a special congratulations to all of our graduates.
