On November 17, 2005, Covenant House New York’s Community Programs held its annual Thanksgiving Party at its Staten Island location. This event gave the youth the an opportunity to gather together with other youth from each borough along with Covenant House staff and spend quality time reflecting on the important things to be thankful for. This party was also a chance for Covenant House’s staff to recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of all the youth over the past year. A total of 40 youth attended the party. This party would not be possible without the generous donations of local stores within each borough. We would like to extend a special thanks to Boston Market, Daddy’s Doug’s, Karl’s Klipper, Charlie Brown’s, Chevy’s and Meatballs Plus. It is kindness and generosity of individuals and local community stores that make events like this possible. From everyone hear at Covenant House New York, we thank you.
